6 Days To Kickoff: THE CARTWHEEL CHALLENGE
Georgia State's encore football season kicks off on Friday Night Sept. 2 under the bright lights of the Georgia Dome.
Bill Curry's Panthers will kick off at 7:30 against the cross town Clark Atlanta Panthers on 09-02.
On the Saturday, Nov. 5 game, Georgia State will try to put its name into the Guinness Book of World Recordstm when the Panthers host the Cartwheel Challenge. GSU will need at least 500 people on the football field to do cartwheels at the same time. The current world record is 482 people, done by people from Schothorst, Netherlands on July 10, 2009.
Official judges and witnesses will watch each participant do a minimum of three cartwheels on the countdown. To sign up CLICK HERE. All who sign up will come to the field immediately following the game.
That game is also GSU's Cheer Clinic and Band Day, so their should be plenty of willling participants along with the GSU students and fans.

Maybe we can set a record of over 1,000 that may never be broken. Start brushing up on your cartwheel techniques and join the fun (and the world record attempt).
For the season opener on 09-02, the PantherZone tailgate area has been moved to the Brown Lot. The PantherZone is the designated area for games, contests, entertainment and game day giveaways as part of the tailgating. The Orange Lot remains a headquarters for alumni and other tailgating activities. Come early and join the tailgate fun.
