18 Days To Kickoff: POWER HOUR & The Caging of POUNCE
Georgia State's encore football season kicks off on Friday Night Sept. 2 under the bright lights of the Georgia Dome.
Thursday, August 18, will be GSU's "Power Hour" for season ticket sales and Pounce will be caged on top of the box office for the first hour with the goal of selling 25 season tickets in order to free him early.
The "Power Hour" means that any tickets purchased then will be delivered within the hour or the season tickets are free. The "Power Hour" guarantee runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday and the delivery address for the season tickets needs to be within a two-mile radius of the GSU Sports Arena.
An added incentive is a free $20 gift card to Six Feet Under restaurant for the first 10 accounts that purchase tickets on "Power Hour" day. However, the gift cards can go to anyone who lives outside the two-mile radius and opens one of the first 10 accounts during that time frame. Those cards would simply be mailed. Student upgrade season ticket purchases also are eligible in this promotion.
Faculty and staff are particularly encouraged to uncage Pounce during Thursday's "Power Hour" and get their six-game season ticket package for as low as $58 with the faculty-staff discount. Get the $20 gift card if you're quick Thursday morning and get the tickets delivered right to your office and desk.
Tailgating starts early outside the Dome. The PantherZone tailgate area has been moved to the Brown Lot. The PantherZone is the designated area for games, contests, entertainment and game day giveaways as part of the tailgating. The Orange Lot remains a headquarters for alumni and other tailgating activities. Come early and join the tailgate fun.
