MARICOPA,- Georgia State Men's Golf team finished sixth at the Southern Dunes Invitational, hosted by USC at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona, on Sept. 9-10. The Panthers posted a final team score of 859 (-5) after rounds of 289 (+1), 288 (E), and 282 (-6).
Top Performers for Georgia State:

Cameron Jackson led the way for Georgia State, finishing tied for 12th with a three-round score of 213 (-3). Jackson shot rounds of 73 (+1), 70 (-2), and 70 (-2) over the two days.

Brody Tidwell tied for 21st with a 215 (-1) score. Tidwell improved each day, shooting 73 (+1), 73 (+1), and 69 (-3) in the final round.

Connor MacMillan also contributed to the team's strong showing, finishing tied for 24th at even par (216). His rounds were 71 (-1), 73 (+1), and 72 (E).

Daniel Medellin finished tied for 32nd with a score of 218 (+2), posting rounds of 73 (+1), 69 (-3), and 76 (+4).

Cole Finch tied for 44th with a 222 (+6) score. After two challenging rounds of 75 (+3) and 78 (+6), Finch rebounded with a 69 (-3) in the final round.
The Panthers demonstrated resilience and improvement throughout the tournament, especially in the final round, where they shot a combined 282 (-6), one of the best team rounds of the day.
Southern California won the tournament with a team score of 836 (-28). Grand Canyon finished second with 843 (-21), while Fresno State secured third place with 854 (-10).
The Panthers return to action this Sunday, September 15, through Tuesday, September 17, at the J.T. Poston Invitational.
