PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C.— The Georgia State Panthers men's golf team finished tied for fourth at the Golfweek Spring Challenge this week, ending the tournament with an even par score 864 (292-283-289).
Matthew Calhoun topped the Panthers leader board and finished tied for 5
th place.
Freshman,
Matthew Calhoun ended the tournament with a five-under 211 (74-69-68). Calhoun also shot 16 birdies and 17-even par holes. He ended the tournament with his best round that consisted of a four-under par score of 68, with seven birdies and eight-even par holes.
Freshman
Archie Cook came in second on GSU's leader board and tied for 13
th in the tournament with a one-under 215 (72-70-73), with nine birdies and 37-even par holes. Cook recorded his tournament-best round in the second with a score of two-under par 70, scoring five birdies and 10-even par holes.
Junior
Cameron Jackson shot a one-over par 217 (71-73-73), with eight birdies and 34-even par holes. Jackson started the tournament with his best round with a one-under par score of 71 with three birdies and an eagle on hole nine.

Brody Tidwell and Senior
Connor Macmillan also competed in the Golfweek Spring Challenge. Tidwell shot a six-over par 222 (75-72-75) with 37-even par holes and six birdies. Macmillan shot a 13-over par score of 229 (79-72-78) with five birdies and 36-even par holes.
Senior
Cole Finch participated as an individual in the tournament and shot a five-over par 221 (73-71-77), with eight birdies and 36-even par holes. Finch recorded a tournament-best round in the second with a one-under par score of 71 and three birdies.
The Panthers will finish out the season at the Sun Belt Conference Championship in Madison, Ms. on Apr. 27-30.
