Jung is Panthers' Top Finisher at Wexford Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Jordan Jung's 14th-place finish led the Georgia State men's golf team at the Wexford Invitational in Hilton Head, S.C.

Jung, the sophomore from Australia, finished with a 54-hole total of 4-over par (220), highlighted by a 69 in the opening round. Although he was tied for 14th, he was just two strokes off a Top 5 finish.

Hunter Smith had Georgia State's best round of the day with a 73 to finish at 229 (+13), while Mason Dean shot his second consecutive 74 to finish at 227 (+11), tied for 32nd.

Playing in their first event of the spring season, the Panthers finished ninth of 18 teams at the 6,913-yard, Par-72 Wexford Plantation Championship Course.
