Jung Paces Panthers at Wexford Invitational

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Georgia State sophomore Jordan Jung shot a first-round 69 and stands tied for fifth place after 36 holes at the Wexford Invitational in Hilton Head, S.C.

Jung shot a 3-over par 144 on the day, five shots behind individual leader Grant Sellers of host Francis Marion.

In the team standings, Georgia State is tied for 10th of the 18 teams playing the 6,913-yard, Par-72 Wexford Plantation Championship Course. The Panthers had a solid first round, shooting an 8-over 296 but fell back with a 306 score in the second round. Leader and host Francis Marion is the only team under par with a 4-under 581.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes Tuesday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
