Morris Named Center Parc Student-Athlete of the Week

Kennedy Morris of the Georgia State Track & Field team has been named Center Parc Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week.

Morris won the indoor 600m and set a school record with a time of 1:33.19 at the Florida University Invitational.

The previous record (1:37.76) was set in 2007 by Latorya Dopson.

The sophomore from Marietta, Ga. also ran a personal best (5:23.55) in the mile over the weekend.

Morris and the Panthers are set to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 20 & 21 in Birmingham, Ala.
