Panther Start Outdoor Season Collecting Four Top 5 Finishes at USF, Emory

ATLANTA-- The Georgia State women's track & field program started the 2026 outdoor season with four top five finishers during dual meets at The University of South Florida and Emory University on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
 
Aniyah Mosley led the way for the Panthers recording a second-place finish in two events. A time of 1:04.36 earned her podium spot in the 400-meter, while a time of 3:51.80 captured the other second-place award in the 4x400 relay for Mosley alongside Janiyah Alibey, Justein Whyte, and Tasheika Thompson.
 
Kinsley Williams started the outdoor season with a fifth-place finish in the shot put after a throw of 12.77 meters, and Paxton Kirby rounded out the top 5 finishers with her fifth-place time of 19:57.19 in the 5000-meter.
 
Notes:
-Tasheika Thompson finished sixth in the 400-meter with a time of 57.43
-Kayli Williams placed seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.81
-4x400 relay finished eighth with a time of 3:45.81 (Kennedy, Walker, Depalma, Staley)
- Ana Cubillio placed ninth in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:38.50
- Mencia Maruri placed 10th in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:41.60
- Zayna Fray finished 10th in hammer throw 52.83 meters
-Justein Whyte finished 10th in the 400-meter with a time of 58.11
-Charlotte Tooze placed 10th in the 5000-meter with a time of 21:09.12
 
Georgia State is back action Friday, March 27-28 for the Don McGarey Invitational at Kennesaw State.
