Gainesville, Fla. – Runner-up finishes by
Kayli Williams,
Emma Devis, and Georgia State's 1600 meter relay team highlighted the Panthers' second day at the Florida Invitational, the team's final tuneup before the conference meet.
Williams placed second in the 60m hurdles final with a time of 8.86.
In the 800m,
Emma Devis placed second with a time of 2:13.89.
The 1600 meter relay quartet of
Imani Flanagan,
Shadae Worrell,
Blake Blakemore,
Morgan Manley ran 3:50.36 for a second-place finish.
In the 400m,
Morgan Manley placed in the top five with a time of 58.32. Teammates,
Anouk Prop (1:01.24) and Ana Cubillo (1:03.62) also ran in the event.
In the 60m dash,
Maleah Heard (7.66),
Ashanti Tigner (7.70), and
Camarii Tellis (7.71) all reached the final. While
Chelsea Tate (7.76),
Jada McBean (7.79), and
McKenzie Walker (8.41) competed in the event as well.
The Georgia State women's track and field team will compete in the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships beginning Feb. 20 in Birmingham, Ala.
