Mugnier’s 69 Leads Men's Golf in Round 2 of Craft Farms Intercollegiate

GULF SHORES, Ala. – Sophomore Maxence Mugnier shot a second round 3-under par 69 to help the Georgia State men's golf team remain in third place following the second round of the Craft Farms Intercollegiate at the Craft Farms Golf Resort.

Mugnier birdied six of the first 10 holes and finished the day with seven birdies to move into sixth place at 3-under par with 18 holes to play. He has made a tournament-best 15 birdies over the first two rounds of competition.

The Panthers shot a 1-over par 289 to remain in third place just one stroke back of Oral Roberts for second place. Georgia State has made 40 birdies in the first two rounds, just one less than South Alabama, while playing the Par 5's a tournament-best 17-under par.

"We once again played some pretty steady golf today," head coach Chad Wilson said. "We continued to make a lot of birdies which was great. We just need to get rid of a few of those big numbers and I think we could shoot a really good number on Tuesday."

Host South Alabama leads the 13-team field at 20-under par. South Alabama's Jack Hearn leads all individuals at 11-under par.
