Women’s Tennis Returns Home to Face Louisiana, ULM

ATLANTA- Coming off a split in conference road play last weekend, the Georgia State women's tennis team returns home to host Sun Belt foes Louisiana on Saturday, March 26 and ULM on Sunday, March 27. The Panthers currently sit at 3-1 in conference play and 10-5 overall as the team closes out the month of March with the weekend matchups.

GSU saw victory over SBC opponent Troy, 4-2, on the road to earn its tenth win last weekend. The team battled South Alabama in Mobile, Ala. for a quick turnaround outing the following day with the Panthers dropping to the Sun Belt's current top-ranked team, 4-1.

Despite the loss, the Panthers have seen victory in 10 of 12 outings as the team maintains its position tied for most wins in the conference. Finding singles victories in both matches over the weekend, Angel Carney continued her streak of wins in the No. 5 court position as the junior posted her twelvth consecutive victory for GSU on Sunday.

With the matches against Louisiana and ULM marking GSU's fifth and sixth Sun Belt outings, the Panthers near the Sun Belt Conference championship tournament beginning April 21 with hopes of making a return trip to the title match. GSU previously claimed the conference title in 2018.

GSU will host Louisiana on Saturday, March 26 followed by ULM on Sunday, March 27. Both matches will take place at the GSU Clarkston Courts with match times set for 10 a.m. ET. Information regarding live scoring will be posted to the team's social media accounts on the morning of each match.
