Leading the Panthers to a pair of impressive road wins last week, women's tennis standout Angel Carney this week's Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week.

Carney went undefeated on the weekend earning a 6-1, 6-2, win over UNC Greensboro's Hannah Mitchell, followed by a 6-2, 6-0, over Olivia Archer of Elon.

Carney has won five straight singles matches and is undefeated in doubles at 7-0. She helped the Panthers win their fourth and fifth straight matches over the weekend. Under first year head coach Hannah Keeling, the Panthers have already eclipsed their win total from last season.

Carney and the Panthers will return home to start a five-match home stand hosting Kennesaw State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
