Eason and Acevedo named October P.A.S.S. Academic All-Stars

Toni Eason of track & field and Josh Acevedo of men's soccer have been named the P.A.S.S. Academic All-Stars for the month of October.

The P.A.S.S. Academic All-Star award is given out monthly to the top performing male and female student-athletes selected by the Panther Academic Support and Student-Athlete Development (P.A.S.S.) staff.

Academic advisor Bree Hicken spoke highly of Eason, "Toni Eason is a sophomore student-athlete from Douglasville, GA and a jumper on the women's track and field team. She has an interest in nursing and plans on pursuing nursing school. She's one of the SAAC representatives for her team. Toni is a well-rounded student-athlete and is having an exceptional fall semester."

Hicken also has the pleasure of serving as the men's soccer academic advisor and praised the freshman Acevedo, "The transition from high school to university is challenging enough without the demands of travel for a Fall sport. Josh (Acevedo) is proving himself to be a serious student-athlete in his first semester."

Congratulations to these two outstanding student-athletes.

Eason will begin the Indoor Track & Field season this winter. Acevedo and the men's soccer team are competing in the Sun Belt Conference Semifinals tonight, November 9 at 7 PM in Huntington, W. Va. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
