KENNESAW, Ga. – The Panthers concluded the first 36 holes at the Pinetree Intercollegiate and are tied for eighth place with a score of 20-over par. After finishing in tenth place during the first 18 the team was able to move up the leaderboard. A second round score improvement by seven strokes from 301 to 294 should provide some momentum heading into the final day.

Hunter Smith led the team as he was able to finish the day at 4-over par which will leave him tied for 19^th only three strokes outside of the top 10. Smith shot an opening round 76 followed by a second round 72.

Jordan Jung follows close behind Smith at 5-over par which leaves him tied for 23^rd. Connor MacMillan and Jake Kephart are one stroke behind Jung at 6-over tied for 31^st.
 
Tomorrow the Panthers will close out the tournament when they tee off for the final 18 holes at the Pinetree Country Club.
 
After 36 holes Mercer leads the tournament with a score of 5-under par, while Francis Marion's Carlos Garre leads all individuals at 6-under par.
