What You Need to Know:
* Georgia State shot an 11-over 299 on Monday in the second round of the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner to stand in a tie for sixth place at 19-over entering Tuesday's final round.

AUBURN, Ala. – Led by an even par round from senior JJ Grey, Georgia State shot a second round 11-over par 299 to move into a tie for sixth place entering the final round of the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner.
Georgia State sits tied with VCU, UNC Wilmington and No. 5 Auburn's B-Team at 19-over par, just two strokes out of fourth with 18 holes to play.
Grey, who got off to a great start and shot 33 on the front nine, stumbled coming in before a birdie at the last to shoot 72 and stand tied for 27th at 5-over par.
Sophomore Alexander Herrmann also got off to a quick start and was 2-under thru 16 holes before a tough bogey-double bogey finish left him with a 1-over 73. He is in seventh place at even par entering the final round, just four strokes off the lead.
“Today was strange in that it was the reverse of yesterday,” head coach Joe Inman said. “Yesterday we got off to a bit of a rough start and then rebounded nicely. Today we got off to a great start and were 2-under at the turn, but stumbled coming home with a few double bogeys. The guys really like the course and I expect a great final round on Tuesday.”
Sophomore Max Herrmann added a second round 4-over 76 and is tied for 43rd at 7-over par, while junior Nathan Mallonee sits tied for 58th at 9-over par following a 6-over 78 on Monday.
Freshman Nick Budd rounded out the line-up with an 11-over 83 and sits at 14-over and tied for 80th.
No. 5 Auburn continues to lead the 18-team field at 1-over par following a second round 4-over 292. Conference foe Troy stands second at 3-over par after shooting the low round of the day, a 1-over 289. Kennesaw State is in third at 7-over, followed by UNC Greensboro in fourth at 17-over. No. 25 Kentucky rounds out the top five at 18-over par.
Troy's Luke Moser holds at one-stroke lead entering the final round at 4-under par. He leads Auburn's Ben Schlottman who sits at 3-under. A group of four are tied for third at 1-under, including UNC Greensboro's Jake McGlone, SE Louisiana's Paul Obermann, Kennesaw State's Fredrik Nilehn and Auburn's Matt Gilchrest.
