GREENSBORO, GA. - Georgia State shot even par through the 36 holes on Saturday at the Linger Longer Invitational at Great Waters Club at Reynolds Plantation. The Panthers opened with a 2-under 286 in the early 18 holes and added a 2-over 290 on the final 18 holes to sit in 10th place among the 15 teams. Seven of the nine teams ahead of Georgia State are ranked in the top 30 in the nation.
GSU's 286 was its lowest round of the spring season and three shots off its best round of the fall season.
Pacing Georgia State was J.J. Grey with a 2-under 70 and a 1-over 73 for a 1-under 143, tied for 26th.
Max Herrmann started the morning with a 3-under 69, but had a 3-over 75 to finish at par, 144.
Davin White had a 76 morning round, but solidly came back with a 3-under 69 in the afternoon to finish a 1-over 145.
Damon Stephenson added 71-75-146 and Nathan Mallonee posted rounds of 76-73-149. Alex Herrmann played only as an individual and carded 71-74 145 for his day.
