Sophomore Tobias Rosendahl fired a one-over par 72 to pace the 46th-ranked Georgia State's men's golf team in the second round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay in Awendaw, S.C.
Rosendahl is Georgia State's top individual with a 36-hole score of 145 (+3), good for 33rd place, at the par-71, 7,2982-yard Bulls Bay Golf Club. The Panthers stand 13th in the team standings with one round to play against a field that features six Top 30 teams.
Georgia State totaled 293 (+9) in Monday's second round, shaving 10 strokes off its first-round score for a 36-hole total of 596 (+28).
Junior Tom Sherreard recovered from an opening-day 79 to shoot 73 Monday in a round that featured five birdies, four of them on the back nine, but also included three bogeys and two double-bogeys. His two-day total of 152 (+10) places him 64th in the individual standings.
Allen John and Alan Fowler both shot 74 for the Panthers in Monday's second round.
Fowler is Georgia State's second-best individual for the tournament, standing 54th with a 7-over 149. John is tied with Sherreard at 64th (152, +10).
Augusta State turned in the best round of the day at 12-under to take a six-shot lead over LSU in the team standings. The Jaguars have a 36-hole total of 558 (-10) to stand in front of the 28th-ranked Tigers (564, -4), No. 18 UCF (565, -3) and No. 45 Virginia (566, -2).
The individual leader is Janne Kaske of Augusta State, who fired back-to-back 67s to stand at 8-under, one shot better than John Peterson of LSU (7-under).
