ATLANTA- Georgia State men's soccer alumnus Chris Mahaffey made his professional debut with the Atlanta Silverbacks on Sunday, April 20.
Mahaffey, who spent a year in the blue and white, entered the game in the 88th minute and helped the Silverbacks to a 1-1 draw against the Carolina RailHawks. Chris was a member of the Silverbacks Under-23 squad last year after spending time with KFC Uerdingen of the German third division, where he tallied five goals in four appearances.
During his tenure at Georgia State, Mahaffey received Atlantic Sun All-Freshman honors and was named Newcomer of the Year by the team.
