EVANS, Ga. (March 31, 2007) -- The Georgia State men's golf team moved up the leader board after a 7-under round of 281 at the Administaff Augusta State Invitational. State's 281 total matched the best round on the day with current leader North Carolina.
Freshman Tom Sherreard fired another round under par with a 71 in round two. Sherreard is currently tied for eighth-place individually. Junior Joel Sjoholm fired the best round of the day for the Panthers with a 68, which helped him move into a tie for 12th-overall.
Senior Derek Oakey was able to move into a tie for 10th-place after 69 in the second round. Sophomore Mark Haastrup is tied for 39th-place after a second round of 75. Senior Ben Taylor is tied for 44th-place after a 1-over round of 73.
State will play the final round of the Administaff Augusta State Invitational Sunday morning.
