Newcomer Kozmina takes singles crown

Thomasville, Ga. - In a two hour fight, the Georgia State women's tennis doubles team of Martina Nitkova and Dariana Kozmina lost a tough one to Auburn Montgomery's Nadia Lysak and Kamila Dadakhovjaeva in the finals of the Thomasville Invitational on Sunday afternoon. In the singles final, newcomer sophomore Kozmina edged sophomore Nitkova in three sets.

The Panthers will be in action next weekend (Sept. 22-24) at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga Invitational in Chattanooga, Tenn. Matches being Friday morning and will conclude Sunday with finals.
