NEW YORK, N.Y. – Georgia State's senior duo of Matt McMaster and Jenn Feenstra finished in the top-10 in their respective events at the 5th Annual New Balance Collegiate Invitational on Sunday, Feb. 6 at The Armory in Manhattan. The prestigious event featured more than 60 teams and some of the most elite track athletes.

McMaster, a native of Marietta, Ga., ran a personal-best time of 4:13.73 in the men's college mile to finish fifth, while Feenstra, a native of St. Thomas, Ontario, clocked in a season-best time of 9:41.06 in the women's championship 3K to finish in 10th-place. Georgia State's 4x400 relay team continued to run strong, finishing first in a time of 3:47.62.

In the women's college 800 meter finals, senior Princess Thomas crossed the line in 2:21.74 for 40th-place, while sophomore Dawn Arnold was 43rd in 2:23.79.

Senior Ashley Taylor placed 19th in the women's 400 in a time of 56.16 seconds, missing the finals by 0.65 seconds. Thomas was 29th at 56.85 seconds and Arnold finished in 50th-place in 58.52 seconds. Also in preliminary action, junior Ciji Canady finished 33rd in the women's 200 meter dash in a time of 25.23 seconds. Junior Natasha O'Connor placed 36th in 25.36 seconds, while Taylor finished 37th at 25.44 seconds.

The Georgia State track teams will compete in the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday, Feb. 11.
