Georgia State Earns Three Top 5 Finishes at East Coast Relays

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Georgia State women's track and field secured three top five finishes at East Coast Relays on Saturday afternoon.
 
Destinee Frink's third place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:48.54 led the way for the Panthers. Mencia Maruri finished close behind after running a 10:55.30 in the 3000-meter steeplechase for fourth place.
 
The 4x100 relay team of Justein Whyte, Keniya Walker, Jayla Kennedy and Maleah Heard claimed the last top five finish for Georgia State over the weekend after their 5th place time of 45.27.
 
Notes:
-Maya Anderson finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.45
-Zayna Fray finished seventh in the hammer throw with a distance of 57.15 meters
-Kayli Williams placed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.16
-Kinsley Williams placed eighth in the shot put with a distance of 12 meters
-Keniya Walker finished 10th in the 400-meter with a time of 54.04
 
The Panthers close out the season at the Sun Belt Conference Championship in Mobile, Ala. on May 14-16.
