Former Georgia State track and field standout Sheriee Willis has joined the team as a volunteer assistant coach responsible for coaching hurdles.

While at GSU, Willis made her mark as one of the top hurdlers in school history. The school record holder in the 100 hurdles with at time of 13.41, Willis earned five all-conference tabs during her time as a Panther.

In 2006, the Savannah, Ga., native won both the 100 and 400 hurdles at the CAA Championships. Willis began her career with an Atlantic Sun Championship as part of the 2004 4x400-meter relay team. She also earned All-ASun honors in 2005 in the 100 hurdles and All-CAA accolades in the 100 hurdles in 2007. She also appeared in the NCAA Regionals three times competing in the 100 and 400 hurdles and the 4x100m relay.
