ATLANTA — Georgia State track and field head coach Charnay Ryland announced the Panthers' 2026-27 roster, featuring a combination of experienced returners and 18 newcomers.

The 35-member roster features 17 returners from last season's squad along with 11 freshmen and seven transfers.

Highlighting the returning group is Jayla Kennedy, who competed in 15 meets last season and advanced to the NCAA East Regional. Kennedy set the Georgia State program record in the 100-meter dash with a personal-best time of 11.34 at the Sun Belt Outdoor Track and Field Championships, placing fourth overall.

Kenya Walker also returns following a strong showing at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships. Walker finished fourth in the 200 meters and recorded a personal-best time of 53.94 in the 400 meters.

Georgia State added seven transfers to the roster, including Jakayla Arnold and Samiya Wayne from Kennesaw State. The duo helped the Owls capture the Conference USA championship last season before making the move to Atlanta.

The Panthers also welcome transfers Kyeese Hollands (Auburn), Jada Hyman (Clark Atlanta), Amerie Tolbert (Cincinnati), Kellie Walker (West Georgia) and Yaroslava Yalysoretska (Boston College).

In addition to the seven transfers, Ryland welcomes 11 freshmen to the program, giving the Panthers 18 newcomers for the 2026-27 campaign.
