Box Score 2 STATESBORO, GA. - Georgia State (5-9) traveled to Georgia Southern (7-7) on Friday March 8 and No. 48 Georgia (7-7) on Sunday March 10. The Panthers dropped both matches on the road, falling 5-2 to Georgia Southern and 4-0 to Georgia.

The Panthers started their weekend with a match-up against Georgia Southern on the road. Despite picking up a doubles win on court No. 1, the Panthers fell on courts No. 2 and No. 3, giving the 1-0 lead to the Eagles.
Diogo Morais posted a strong singles performance, adding a point for the Panthers with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 victory on court No. 4. On court No. 6,
Naufal Kamaruzzaman added a second point for Georgia State as he posted a 6-4, 6-3 win. Despite close competition on other courts, the Panthers ultimately fell 5-2 to the Eagles.
GSU vs Georgia
Georgia State traveled to Athens, Ga. to take on Georgia on Sunday evening.
Edward Tymes partnered with Morais on doubles court No. 3 to take a 6-4 victory. After dropping a match on court No. 2, the Panthers needed a victory on court No. 1 to take the doubles point.
Baran Soyler and
Gabriele Datei played a close match on court No. 1, but fell short with a 7-6(4) score.
The Panthers fought through close competition across the board in singles play, but ultimately fell 4-0 to Georgia.
Georgia State men's tennis will travel to San Antonio to take on Pacific on March 16 and UTSA on March 17.
