Men's Tennis Shut Out by UTSA on Neutral Court

Box Score BIRMINGHAM, AL – Georgia State Men's Tennis traveled to Birmingham on Friday morning for a neutral site showodown with non-conference opponent UTSA. The Roadrunners got the best of the Panthers, winning by a final score of 4-0.

The Panthers' top-line duo of Gabriele Datei and Aleksandar Andrin battled in doubles play, narrowing their deficit to 3-4 before the match was suspended. With wins on courts two and three, the Roadrunners took the opening point of the day.

After dropping the opening set on singles court one, Datei evened the score with a resounding 6-1 victory in set two. Cem Atlamis took care of business on court four, taking the opening set from his UTSA counterpart. Neither Datei nor Atlamis, however, would have the opportunity to finish their singles games as the Roadrunners secured a clean sweep with wins on courts two, three, and six.
