Georgia State Relay Teams Medal at Regular Season Finale

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – The Georgia State 4x400m and 4x100m relay teams placed second and third respectively at the East Coast Relays April 28 - 29.

The 4x100m relay team of Chelsea Tate, Camarii Tellis, Ashanti Tigner, and Maleah Heard set a new season best of 45.12, which was good for third place.

The 4x400m relay team of Imani Flanagan, Blake Blakemore, Keniya Walker, and Shadae Worrell ran a season best 3:41.41 to bring home a silver medal.

Heard (23.94), Tigner (24.65), and Walker (24.78) also set new personal bests in the 200m.

Worrell, the freshman sprinter from Barbados, set a new personal best in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.30.

Heard set her third personal best of the weekend in the 100m dash (11.81). Tellis also set a personal best in the 100m (11.71).

With the East Coast Relays being the final meet of the regular season, the Panthers turn all eyes to the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championship May 11 – May 13.
