Panthers Finish Fourth at GSU Invitational

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The Georgia State women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Georgia State Invitational, a 16-team event hosted by the Panthers at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek.

Georgia State shot a 7-over 295 in Tuesday's final round on the 6,170-yard, Par 72 layout. 

Senior Ari Acuff was the Panthers' top finisher, tying for ninth place with a 1-over 217. Her best round of the tournament was a 2-under 70 in the second round, and she finished with a 74.

Freshman Amelie Weber shot Georgia State's best round on the final 18 with a 71. She finished 19th at 7-over.

Lipscomb captured the team title with a 3-over 867, edging second-place Charlotte by four strokes. 

Boston College's Stephany Kim is the individual medalist with a 2-under 214, winning by one stoke over four players.

Georgia State will head to EKU's Colonel Classic on April 3-4 for the Panthers' final event before the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
