Kalina Leads Panthers to Sixth-Place Finish at Bass Steffens International

DEBARY, Fla.—Freshman Grace Kalina led the Panthers through three rounds as Georgia State finished sixth overall at the Babs Steffens International on Tuesday afternoon. 

Kalina finished with a 14-over par score of 227 (74-78-75) to finish in 14th place. Kalina started the tournament with her best round, ending with a 3-over par score of 74 that included an even-par score throughout the second half of the course. She shot one birdie during each round to end with three on the tournament. Kalina ended the tournament with a total of 38 pars, leading her to be tied for second in the category. 

Sophomore TK Kongthong finished second on the Panthers' leaderboard and tied for 33rd overall in the tournament, recording 22-over par 235 (76-81-78) with three birdies and 30-even par holes. She recorded her tournament-best round with a score of five-over par 76 after shooting all three of her birdies in the round. 
 
 Senior Silka Solomon and Sophomore Lindsey Pak both finished with a 23-over par score of 236, Solomon with (80-79-77) and Pak with (84-76-76) to finished tied for 37th overall in the tournament. 


Solomon ended the tournament with two birdies and 32-even par holes. She capped on the tournament with her best round with a 6-over par score of 77.
 
Pak put up her tournament best rounds in the second and final round recording a score of five-over par 76. She ended the tournament with three birdies and 30-even par holes. 

Junior Pariya Sanpanawat finished the tournament with a 29-over 242 (80-80-82) to place 52nd overall with three birdies and 24-even par holes.
 
Junior Gaemphuang Ketrahong participated as an individual, ending the tournament with a final score of 265 (84-94-87) that included three birdies and 23-even par holes. 
 
Georgia State opens up March action at the Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational, hosted by Ball State on March. 3-5.
