Weber, Leveau Lead Panthers to 3rd Place Finish

Final Round Score of 285 Equals Third-Lowest Round in Program History

GULF SHORES, ALA. -- Amelie Weber fired a 68 and Mahina Leveau shot 69 as Georgia State used one of the best rounds in program history to capture third place at the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Behind Weber, the freshman from Laufen, Basel-land, Switzerland, and Leveau, the junior from Beauvais, France, the Panthers shot 3-under par 285 to equal the third-lowest round in school history. The 285 was also the lowest round of the tournament in the 15-team field on the Par 72 layout at Gulf Shores Golf Club.

Georgia State's 54-hole score of 903 (+39) put the Panthers in third place, just one stroke behind second-place Colorado State at 902. ULM ran away with the team title, shooting 879 to win by 23 by strokes.

Leveau was Georgia State's top individual finisher with a Top 10 showing at 9-over 225. Her round today featured five birdies,

Weber recovered from an opening round 87 to shoot 74-68 in the final two rounds and finish in a tie for 18th at 229. She made five birdies today with just one bogey.

Noemie Boulbes was the third Panther in the Top 20, also shooting 229 for 18th place. Kelly Strickland and Ari Acuff tied for 25th at 231.

Georgia State's next action will be at the Panthers' annual home event, the Georgia State Invitational at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek, Ga.
