Georgia State baseball coach
Brad Stromdahl and his staff announced a fall signing class of five talented high school student-athletes and two junior college players who will join the Panthers' program for the 2024-2025 season.

BRANTLEY UPSHAW
RHP | 6-8, 245 | L/R | Ailey, Ga. (Toombs County High School)
Tall right-hander from Toombs County High School who is ranked among the top 500 prospects in the nation by Perfect Game ... Features a low 90's fastball from a deceptively high arm slot … Also has a low 80's splitter that he tunnels nicely while filling up the strike zone with ease … Brantley will be the #1 starter for his high school team during his senior season at Toombs County.

3B/RHP | 6-4, 190 | R/R | Newnan, Ga. (Newnan High School)
Two-way player who will contribute on the infield and on the mound ... Rated among the top 450 players in the nation by Perfect Game and a top 50 player in the state of Georgia by Perfect Game … Younger brother of current Georgia State outfielder
Michael Maginnis … 6-4 frame with lighting bat speed … has the ability drive the ball out of the park to all fields … highly touted, athletic corner infielder with an unlimited ceiling.

JACK HOLLEY

Rated among the top 500 players in the nation by Perfect Game and is the number two catcher in the state of Alabama by Perfect Game … Was a starting catcher for the New Balance Future Stars Main Event game at Fenway Park in Boston, Ma. in October 2023 … Also a member of the PBR Future Games for team Alabama … Highly athletic backstop with legit catch and throw tools …

Brad Stromdahl says, "Jack is a mature freshman defensive catcher. Jack has been the glue for this recruiting class. He comes to us with athletic and smooth receiving actions along with a good throwing arm. He has strong hands at the plate and impacts the baseball. ANDON LEWIS
1B | 6-1, 210 | R/R | Calhoun, Ga. (St. Johns River State College/Calhoun High School)
Right-handed hitting first baseman from St. Johns River State Community College … Hit .309 with 10 HR and 14 doubles as a freshman at St. Johns … Andon started in 57 of the 63 games during the 2022-2023 campaign … had 13 multi-hit games during the '22-'23 season as well … excellent athlete and plus defensive first-baseman … hit safely in 15 of the final 16 games of the season.

JACOB CREWS
RHP | 6-5, 240 | R/R | Winter Garden, Fl. (Pensacola State College/TNXL Academy)
Right-handed pitcher from Winter Garden, FL who attends Pensacola State College … Very strong build, especially in his lower half … Works with a simple compact delivery and arm action, high 3/4 arm slot with good direction to the plate … Elite competitor who will keep improving as his secondary stuff takes a step forward.
