GREENVILLE, S.C. – Sophomore
Aubri Braecklein led the way for the Panthers on the final day of the Lady Paladin Invitational. After a slow start in the first round Braecklein shot a 73 on day two and finished with a third round 69 to put her at 5-over for the tournament and tied for seventeenth.
Aubri Braecklein's final round consisted of six birdies and three bogies as she finished 3-under on the day. Her final round 69 was the lowest of her career as she will look to keep the momentum heading into the next event.
"Today wasn't exactly the day we were hoping for, but this was still a tremendous tournament for us. This is the toughest field we will face all season, so finishing in the top half is an accomplishment to be proud of. We struggled at the start of our round today but came back with some birdies during our final nine. It was good to see Aubri have a great round today. She really carried the team." head coach
Jessica Steward said.
The team shot a final round 299 which will place them in seventh place overall with a total score of 888. The Panthers were able to beat several good teams this week and will have all eyes set towards the Pat Bradley Invitational in Bradenton, Fla.
