GREENVILLE, S.C. – Freshman standout
Noemie Boulbes led the Georgia State women's golf team on Day 1 of the Lady Paladin Invitational. Boulbes finished the day at a one under par 71. This score is enough to have her tied for eighth going into Saturday.

The Panthers had a strong performance overall shooting a 295. The team is 7-over par and in sixth place.
"Today was an awesome representation of the grit and determination this team has. Nobody is thrilled with the way they hit the ball, but they fought their way around the course and made a lot of par saves. What a great round from Noemie especially. The course played tough with fast greens and windy conditions. To be under par is a great accomplishment." head coach
Jessica Steward said.

Ari Acuff and Kelly Strickland are also both among the top 30 after the first 18 holes. Acuff shot an opening round 73 while Strickland shot a 75.
