No. 65 Panthers to Host Tennessee Tech for Senior Day

ATLANTA- Having claimed the Sun Belt regular season title with a victory over in-state conference rival Georgia Southern on Thursday, the Georgia State men's tennis team will close out its regular season of competition hosting Tennessee Tech on Sunday for Senior Day. Four members of the Panthers' roster will be recognized in Sunday's ceremony including Patrick Lazo, Harvey Maughan, Vazha Shubladze and fifth year senior Andrei Duarte.

With Thursday's victory securing the SBC regular season title, No. 65 GSU locked the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament and will play the winner of Troy and Coastal Carolina. The tournament will begin on April 14 and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Panthers' last regular season outing of the season will also mark the last home outing for all four of the seniors currently competing in their final seasons with GSU. Each athlete will be recognized and honored for their contributions to GSU men's tennis with a compiled list of awards and accolades to be included in the ceremony as well as featured on the web later this weekend.

Senior gifts will be given to the athletes prior to the start of the match, and friends and families will have the opportunity to take photographs with the players. Students have been encouraged to attend and support the regular season champs with free lunch being offered to fans.

The Panthers' match against Tennessee Tech will be hosted at the GSU Clarkston Courts for a final time this season. Match time is set for 1 p.m. ET and live stats will be available.
