No. 65 Panthers Travel to Statesboro for Rivalry Matchup Versus Georgia Southern

ATLANTA- Having won six of its last seven outings in match play, the Georgia State men's tennis team will travel to Statesboro, Ga. for a matchup with Sun Belt rival Georgia Southern on Thursday, April 7. No. 65 GSU will look to close out conference play with a weekday outing on the road ahead of the team's final regular season matchup against Tennessee Tech on Sunday, April 10.

GSU checks in at No. 65 on the latest Division I Men's ITA Collegiate Tennis National Rankings. The Panthers enter the final two matches of the season coming off a weekend that saw the team win in back-to-back road competitions in South Carolina facing SBC foe Coastal Carolina and Presbyterian.

Harvey Maughan was named Sun Belt men's tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday following the team's pair of victories. The senior accounted for a 4-0 record in both singles and doubles with match point clinchers in both outings as GSU extended its win total to 13 on the season and four in conference competition

Thursday will see GSU battle Georgia Southern at Wallis Tennis Center in Statesboro, Ga. with a match time set for 1 p.m. ET. Live stats will be provided by the host and posted to the Panthers' social media accounts on the day of the match.

More information on Sunday's Senior Day at the GSU Clarkston Courts will be released later in the week leading up to the match. Updates on anticipated festivities and promotions will also be posted on GSU's social media.
