JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Led by senior Emma Berlin's tie for 12th, the Georgia State women's golf team finished in eighth place at the GSU Invitational at Rivermont Golf Club on Tuesday.
Three Panthers finished among the top 25, including Berlin who earned her fourth top 25 finish in four spring tournaments. She shot a final round 79 to finish at 10-over par in the 54-hole event.
Georgia State shot a final round 316 to finish at 58-over par in the annual home event.
Xavier won the title for a second-straight year earning a one-stroke victory over Eastern Kentucky. Xavier finished at 45-over par, while EKU finished at 46-over par. Five teams finished within six strokes of the lead.
Lipscomb's Lauren Thompson earned low medalist honors at even par following a final round 2-under par 70.
