Strickland and Berlin Earn Top 25 Finishes For Panthers at Bama Beach Bash

GULF SHORES, Ala. – Kelly Strickland and Emma Berlin each earned top 25 finishes to lead the Georgia State women's golf team to an 11^th place finish on Monday at the Bama Beach Bash at Gulf Shores Golf Club.

Strickland led the Panthers with a tie for 20th at 14-over par following rounds of 74 and 81 on Monday.

Berlin, who recorded her first career hole-in-one during the final round, tied for 25^th at 15-over par after shooting 82 and 75 on Monday.

Originally scheduled as a three-day event, the 17-team field played 36 holes on Monday to beat inclement weather scheduled in the Gulf Shores area on Tuesday.

Georgia State shot a second round 322 and followed it with an afternoon 315 to finish the 54-hole event at 78-over par.

Host South Alabama took home the team title by seven strokes, finishing at 30-over par. Dartmouth's Samantha Yo earned low medalist honors by three strokes finishing the event at 1-over par.
