Distance Medley Relay Team Named GSU Student-Athletes of the Week

Leading the Panthers in the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship, the Distance Medley Relay team of Emma Devis, Morgan Manley, Anouk Prop, and Marine Garnier are this week's Georgia State Student-Athletes of the Week.

The team took first place at the championship on Monday night with a remarkable comeback right at the end.

Arkansas State overtook Georgia State on the final lap of the DMR before Garnier made a remarkable comeback in the final turn to earn the Panthers 10 points and the top spot on the podium.

Individually each student-athlete had other remarkable finishes in the championship, but the group all came together for the best finish of the week for the Panthers.

Georgia State will have about a month off from competition before the start of the outdoor track & field season. The Panthers will get things underway at the Miami Invitational March 18-19.
