Berlin and Leveau Earn Top 10 Finishes at First Coast Classic

JACKSONVILLE – Georgia State senior Emma Berlin and sophomore Mahina Leveau each finished tied for 10th at the First Coast Classic at Deerwood Country Club on Tuesday, leading the Georgia State women's golf team to a tie for seventh place.
 
Georgia State shot a final round 314 to finish the 54-hole event tied with Stetson at 76-over par.
 
Freshman Aubri Braecklein led the Panthers on the final day of competition with a 3-over par 75 that included three birdies to finish the two-day event tied for 34th.
 
"This was another great performance by Emma and Mahina," head coach Jessica Steward said. "A Top 10 in this field is a good accomplishment. It was also nice to see Aubri come back with a strong round today. She really helped our team finish in a decent position."
Berlin continued her red-hot play this spring with a second-straight top 10 finish with a final round 79. On a day where the scoring average for the field was 79.79, Berlin only dropped one spot on the leaderboard.
 
Eastern Kentucky won the team title at 33-over par, while Arkansas State's Olivia Schmidt, who is ranked No. 91 in GolfStat, finished at 8-under par for a seven-stroke win.
