HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ar. – The Panthers are in sole possession of first place after two rounds of play at the Little Rock Golf Classic. After an opening round 297 and a second round 283 the team sits at 3-over par.
Aubri Braecklein leads all competitors with a score of 6 under par. Braecklein shot a first round 72 and her career best 66 in round two. She beat her previous career high set in the Panthers most recent tournament the Lady Paladin Invitational. Braecklein finished her final round with 6 birdies and no bogeys.
Kelly Strickland finished the day in the top 5 after shooting an opening round 73 and following it up with a second round 71.
"We got off to a rough start but the ladies kept their heads in the game and made a great comeback. It got pretty windy towards the end of our first round and that made conditions difficult, but we were actually able to make more birdies in the afternoon. Aubri had a phenomenal second round today. She didn't make a single bogey and kept her cool to finish her round well" head coach

Tomorrow the Panthers will close out the tournament when they tee off for the final 18 holes at Diamante Country Club as they look to continue building upon the strong start.
