Hunt and Garnier Named GSU Student-Athletes of the Week

With each earning wins in Birmingham, Ala., over the weekend, indoor track & field student-athletes Jaeda Hunt and Marine Garnier are this week's Georgia State Student-Athletes of the Week.

On Saturday, Hunt, a senior from Atlanta, scored a win in the long jump with a distance of 5.84m at the UAB Vulcan Invite. She was also the Panthers third-best finisher in the 60m dash on Friday as a part of the UAB Blazer Invite.

Garnier, a senior from France, earned a victory in the 3000m with a time of 10:20.69 which was good enough for a 23 second win in the UAB Vulcan Invite on Saturday. On Friday she earned a 10th place finish in the 3000m with a time of 10:15.37.
 
Hunt, Garnier, and the rest of the Panthers will return to action this Friday and Saturday for the Vanderbilt Invite in Nashville, Tenn.
