Hunt Named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week

ATLANTA -- Following a remarkable performance at the Sun Belt Conference Track & Field Championship, Jaeda Hunt is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week.

Hunt won the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the long jump Saturday with a distance of 6.15m, second best in school history. Hunt earned 10 points for the Panthers in the event and earned another five points with a fourth-place finish in the 100m.

Hunt was also part of the GSU 4x100m relay squad that scored three points with a sixth-place finish.

Hunt is the first conference champion in the long jump since Angela Nugent in 2011.

Hunt will compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries later this month in Jacksonville, Fla.
