Panthers 10th Following Opening Round of Sun Belt Championship

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Georgia State shot an opening around 27-over 315 and sits in 10^th place following the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship at LPGA International.

Senior Petra Duran led the Panthers with a 5-over 77 and is tied for 33^rd after making three birdies during the first day of play.

The Panthers entered the week looking for a sixth conference title and first under second year head coach Jessica Steward.

Following the first 18 holes, Texas State leads the field at 9-under par, while a foursome of golfers, two from Texas State and two from Coastal Carolina, lead the field at 3-under par.

The Schedule: The event will continue Monday and Tuesday playing 18 holes each day. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. each day. The Panthers will play with UT Arlington teeing off at 8 a.m., on Hole No. 10.
