ATLANTA -- Georgia State men's tennis (13-5) heads to Alabama for a non-conference meeting with UAB on Tuesday afternoon.
Georgia State narrowly defeated Jacksonville State on Sunday morning, 4-3, to continue their impressive nine match winning streak. Prior to the match Kevin Huynh and Steven Huynh were honored as part of Georgia State's Senior Day Ceremony. The two brothers found wins on lines one and two respectively in doubles action to help secure the one-point advantage going into singles play.
Roberts Grinvalds and Vazha Shubladze collected singles wins to put GSU within striking distance of the team victory. Andrei Duarte found a nail-biting third set tiebreaker win to clinch the decision for the blue and white.
The Panthers will meet an UAB team that holds a 5-9 record this season. The Blazers have lost their latest two matches to Tennessee Tech and Samford. First serve is slated for a 1:30 ET start.
