ATLANTA -- Georgia State men's tennis is currently on an eight-game winning streak and is undefeated in Sun Belt play. The Panthers will look to continue their success against Jacksonville State on Senior Day on Sunday morning.
GSU will honor seniors Kevin Huynh and Steven Huynh. The twins are Georgia natives, originally from Alpharetta. This season Kevin Huynh has found doubles success with Harvey Maughan, being tabbed as the No. 47 doubles pair in the country. Additionally, he has collected seven wins in singles play. During the 2021 campaign Steven Huynh has competed in slot six.
Last weekend GSU earned a pair of conference victories against South Alabama and Troy. Vazha Shubladze recorded his sixth consecutive singles victory on the top court, including a win over top-80 opposition. His success earned him Sun Belt Player of the Week honors for the second week in a row.
GSU will face a Jacksonville State team who holds an 8-5 record. In their latest outing, the Gamecocks fell to Tennessee Tech. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m. at Horseshoe Bend Country Club.
