Panthers Sweep 800m in Miami

ATLANTA -- A year after Covid-19 ended the 2020 outdoor track & field season, the Panthers returned to action this weekend competing at both the Hurricane Invitational in Miami and the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Georgia Tech.

In Miami, GSU swept the top four spots in the 800m as Anouk Prop, Angela Alonso, Emma Devis and Morgan Manley finished first, second, third and fourth, respectively.

Marine Garnier set a new PR in the 1500m in Miami, claiming third place with a time of 4:42.03. Also in Miami, GSU's 4x100m team of Chelsea Tate, Camarii Tellis, Ashanti Tigner and Na'ilah Moore took second place at 46.55.

At Georgia Tech, Imani Flanagan ran the fourth fastest 200m time in the conference this season at 24.78 to win the event at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.

Next the Panthers travel to Tampa, Fla., for the South Florida Invitational on April 3.
