The Panthers Continue Non-Conference Action on the Road

ATLANTA -- Georgia State (1-5) returns to action after a narrow loss to Kennesaw State on Tuesday. The Panthers, who defeated Charleston Southern on the road last week, will return to the Palmetto State to battle College of Charleston Friday before traveling to Tennessee for a Saturday afternoon tilt against Chattanooga.

In Tuesday's meeting with Kennesaw State the Panthers earned their first doubles point of the season with 6-1 decisions on courts one and three. Despite holding the early edge, the Owls came alive in singles action to take a quick 3-1 lead. GSU showed grit as they knotted the match at 3-3 before ultimately being edged out by Kennesaw State.

GSU will face a College of Charleston team that holds a 1-4 record this season. In their last contest, the Cougars fell to Sun Belt opponent, Coastal Carolina, 6-1.  First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, the Panthers will battle Chattanooga (5-1), who dropped their first match of the season last weekend with a narrow 4-3 result against Middle Tennessee. Saturday's start time is also slated for 1:00 p.m. Fans can follow along with both matches via live stats.
