Panthers Continue Road Stretch with Contest at Kennesaw State

ATLANTA-- After splitting results last week, Georgia State women's tennis (1-4) is set to battle Kennesaw State (1-3) on the road as part of a grueling away stretch of non-conference action.

Last Tuesday, the Panthers registered their first win of the season with a 4-2 result over Charleston Southern. The following day GSU returned to the Peach State, dropping a match to Georgia Gwinnett College.

During last week's contests the Panthers recorded a myriad of firsts. Doubles pairing, Andreea Stanescu and Ellie Aldrich, earned their first win as a duo. In singles action, both Maddy Frediani and Alexia Alvarez registered their first career singles victories in blue and white. Additionally,  juniors Eva Chivu and Stanescu each earned their first victory of the 2021 campaign.

GSU will face a Kennesaw State team that is coming off a two week hiatus after defeating Jacksonville State 4-2, marking the squad's first victory of the season. Last year the Panthers defeated the Owls 5-2 at the GSU Clarkston Campus. Tuesday's first serve is set for 4:00 p.m.
