ATLANTA -- Earning a pair of first-place finishes to start the season, junior Marine Garnier was named this week's Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Garnier recorded a pair of first-place finishes Sunday at the KMS Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.

Garnier, along with Emma Devis, Morgan Manley and Anouk Prop won the distance medley relay with a time of 12:20.12.

She capped off the first meet of the indoor season by winning the 3K at 10:15.67.

Garnier and the Panthers will return to action for the KMS Open in Birmingham, Ala., this coming Sunday. It's the second of four events that will be capped off by the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship in late February.
