CLEMSON, S.C. – Georgia State men's tennis fell 4-3 to Clemson Sunday afternoon at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.
The Tigers (6-2) opened Sunday's match by taking the doubles point after collecting wins over GSU (1-5) on courts two and three.

Andrei Duarte battled at the No. 1 spot and were tied with Clemson 5-5 but went unfinished.
In singles play, Grinvalds quickly tied the score at one apiece after a 7-6, 6-0 victory over Clemson's Matteo Vialmin. It was Grinvalds' first singles win of the dual season.
Georgia State again fell behind after the Tigers won in straight sets on court three, but then evened up the score after
Patrick Lazo took care of his opponent 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 6 position, also earning his first singles win of the dual season.
The Panthers followed up Lazo's victory with a win on court one, as
Quentin Coulaud knocked off Gabriel Diaz Freire 6-4, 6-4 for his first win at the No. 1 position this year.
The remaining two courts both went to a final third set, but Clemson was able to grind out victories on each court to claim the team win.
GSU is back in action 1 p.m. Friday at Auburn.
